Q: How do I start the pin process?
A: Please see the ORDER page for a detailed description on how to get started.


Q: How many pins do most teams order?

A: The average team orders 50-100 pins per player (Cooperstown teams usually order more). We recommend to get in contact with your tournament directors and find out how many teams will be participating in your tournament and you should plan on ordering 1 pin for every child for every team that is there (for example if there are 95 teams at your tournament you will want 95 pins per player so that every player can go home with a pin from each team attending) some teams order more for parents and siblings


Q: What is the average size pin for youth sports?

A: Each sport has a different average size (see below) the larger the pins are the more "popular" they become keep in mind if your pin is too small you will find yourself trading 2 for one.
Baseball: Range 1 1/2" to 3" average size 2" (Cooperstown average 2 1/4")
Softball: Range 1 3/4" to 3 1/2" average 2"
Hockey: Range 1" to 3" ,average 1 3/4"
Soccer: Range 1" to 3", average 1 3/4"
Basketball: Range 1" to 3" average 1 1/2"


Q: Do you have a minimum order?
A: We do not have a minimum but any order less then 250 pins requires a set up charge and die charge.


Q: How is the size of a pin determined?                                                                                 A: GH Pin Co. determines the size by the height or the width, whichever is greater, not the diagonal measurement.


Q: What is your lead time?
A: Our lead time is 4-5 weeks after art is approved (please allow your self more time to play around with the art) and keep in mind rush orders are also available.


Q: How does your rush service work?
A: Our rush service lead time is about 3 weeks, this requires a $50 rush fee which moves your order to the front of the other customers (who are not in a rush to get their pins), there is also extra shipping charges on rush fees...on normal orders if you prepay we will cover your shipping (standard) but on rush orders 1st, 2nd, or 3rd day delivery are most of the time needed and we do not cover these extra charges.


Q: When will I know when my pins are ready to ship to me?
A: Jane Hofstetter in our California office (714) 527-6600 will send you an email when your pins are ready to ship, at this time you will pay your remaining balance if this has already been paid then the pins will be on their way. The pins are shipped via UPS and Jane will send you the tracking numbers so you can track your order.


Q: How do you figure shipping and handling costs?
A:  We use standard UPS rates and these are based on the weight of your boxes and how many. You always have the option of paying your shipping and remaining balance COD, UPS charges $10 for this service. On all RUSH orders extra shipping will apply. In most cases expedited services are required on RUSH orders (overnight, 1st, 2nd, 3rd day air) and we do not cover these extra charges.


Q: What service is used to send my pins and do I need to be home to receive them?
A: GH Pin Co. uses UPS to send all shipments if you require a signature then you will need to be home to except the package. Once in awhile a UPS carrier will not leave the package on a door step (even if it does not require a signature) this is out of our control and you will have to get in contact with UPS to retrieve the package.


Q: Do you charge for your artwork?
A: GH Pin Co. does not charge for art work.

 

 


Q: How can I make sure my team colors match my pins?
A: We use the Pantone Matching System (PMS) it is a universal color system, if you know the PMS colors of your logo please let us know, if not please see the chart on our website (under pin types) and pick the color that is closest to yours. Keep in mind the colors are approximate and may vary slightly between monitors; we will do our best to match the color.  

Q: How many colors can be used on a pin design?
A: You can use unlimited colors on silkscreen pins. On diestruck and photoetched pins we will provide up to 6 colors for free and every color after that will require a $0.03 cent charge.

Q: How do you handle trademarks?
A: It is assumed that customers have the rights for usage on all trademarked and/or copyrighted logos and designs sent to us for reproduction. We will assume no liability in any trademark or copyright infringement disputes. The purchaser agrees to assume any liability resulting from actions or demands brought against us or PATENT or COPYRIGHT Infringements.

Q: Do you produce pins for corporations or other associations?                                                
A: Yes, we produce pins for all types of organizations, clubs, companies, and corporations.  

 Q: How does the sizing work for your t-shirts/apparel?  

A: We carry many different brands and because of this the sizes will run differently depending on what brand is ordered.  When ordering if you have any questions on sizing, colors, etc please feel free to ask we will help you get exactly what you need!

Q: How does payment work and what do you accept?
A: We require a 50% deposit when the pins are started and the 50% remaining balance is due when the pins are ready to ship.  We accept Visa and Mastercard as well as a team or personal check, money order and cash. You can pay in full if you would like as well.


Q: How long have you been in business?
A: GH Pins has been producing award winning pins since 1987, we are a family run business and have enjoyed the great customers we have met over the years.

Q: Can I see a sample pin before production?
A: Yes, you can require a sample before mass production, however this requires an additional 3 weeks added to our normal lead time of 4-5 weeks and die charges for the sample must be paid up front.  

Q: How are the products packaged?

 


A: All pins are individually poly bagged

 

 

Q: Can I send you artwork?
A: Yes, you can definitely send over your artwork/logo or even a sketch is fine. You can scan the image and send it via email or you can fax the art to 714-527-6611, keep in mind faxes often do not show small detail and color.
